It's past midnight and I will definitely regret tomorrow that I am not in bed now. So I am not going to even begin to cover the fun that was tonight, much less list the numerous bloggers I met tonight. I'd be bound to miss at least one or two.* Needless to say though, they were all both exactly what I expected and not what I expected at all. If that doesn't make sense, just assume it's because my brain shuts down at midnight.
The main thing is it was fun, the corked champagne got returned, we made it to the designated bar - just not until about an hour after we'd said we would. So there were a few bloggers wandering around waiting for the rest of us, stopping every now and then to ask a passerby if they were Mel. Or maybe Mel was the one wandering, looking for Mick, who never showed (or not before I left anyway).
Actually the main thing is that Nick Crustacean mentioned that he should probably blog** the meet up tonight, as he might not get much of a chance over the next few days, thereby guilting me into doing the same thing, on the basis that then I won't be able to use blogging to procrastinate*** studying tomorrow.
I have nothing else to say except that I really hope Mark finds his wallet. And thanks to Zoe and TJ for organising it all. Now I really have to go to bed.
*I really mean this. I am definitely not naming everyone who was there. Just the people I sat next to and talked to for a while. David, for instance, was even at dinner but was right over the other side of the table from me, so I didn't really talk to him at all. And the people who showed up at the Wig and Pen were far to numerous for me to name. So please don't be offended if I didn't mention you.
**Apologies to Dean who confessed tonight that he hates the term blog when used as a verb.
***Hat tip to the Jenster, who has no blog for me to link to because she would use it to procrastinate... instead she comments on others'. But I'm linking to crazybrave instead, because that's where I've seen her comments.
