Eliane took her first step on Tuesday night. Chris and I were there sitting next to each other and she was just free standing in front of us, then she took a single step towards us. It was cool to both see it. Then she was close enough to reach out and grab my jeans and step closer.
The interesting thing is that we'd just taken her to see the pediatric osteopath that morning, and he said she was quite jammed up under the occipital ridge (back of the skull just above the next), which he suspected was why she hadn't walked yet. He wants to see her again in a few weeks, which is only maybe the second time he's said to come back in under a year, in all the time we've been seeing him (since Liam was a newborn). So that first step could have been a coincidence or maybe it was related. It'll be interesting to see if she takes any more.
Also, today's she's been babbling - dadda, trying to say duck - getting those consonants in - more than usual. I wonder if that could be related too?
