Our weekend away was lovely, if too short. It was to celebrate our second wedding anniversary, which was on Tuesday. We were in Tilba by 6pm on Friday night, and got home around the same time Sunday night. My last entry was written not long before we left on late Sunday morning.

The bed and breakfast we stayed in was really nice, lovely people, and importantly a comfortable bed. The countryside down there is amazingly different to the Australia I know. So green and lush, grassy hills, with trees and huge rocks dotting them. Some treed areas as well, and the cleared areas didn't seem so harsh as they do up around here. It's dairy country and I guess I know why now.

One of the highlights though was that Chris felt the baby move for the first time on Friday night. I didn't think he'd be able to yet, and of course he can't feel every movement but he can feel quite a lot. On Sunday night when I was in bed, for the first time I was almost kept awake by the constant movements. On the other hand I was kind of wide awake anyway, so that may have had something to do with it.

I asked Chris if it made it seem more real to him, but he said it seemed pretty real anyway. I think I was more excited than he was actually, but it was cool. And he's put his hand on my belly to feel it move again lots of times since.

By the way, have I mentioned that I am about the size of a small house now? According to the books, the baby probably weighs about a pound now (at 22 weeks). Since I believe they tend to be somewhere around 6 or 7 pounds (give or take) when they're born, I suspect it will take a large truck to move me in another month or two.
